About Thermography
Thermographic inspections use an infrared imaging and measurement camera to be able to see and measure thermal energy that is emitted from an object. Thermal energy, otherwise known as infrared (IR), is light that is not visible due to its wavelength being too long to be detected naturally by the human eye. It’s the part of the electromagnetic spectrum that we perceive as heat.
If our eyes were able to view the infrared world, everything with a temperature above absolute zero could be seen giving off light. Even very cold objects, like ice cubes, emit infrared radiation. The higher an object’s temperature, the greater the amount of IR radiation that gets emitted. Infrared thermography cameras produce images of invisible–infrared or “heat” radiation–and provide precise non-contact temperature measurements. Nearly everything gets hot before it has issues that make it fail, making infrared thermography inspections an extremely cost-effective and valuable diagnostic method that has many diverse applications, including locating:

- Heat loss from poor insulation

- Broken seals in double-paned windows
- And more
Allco Inspection Services offers comprehensive infrared thermography inspections. Our thermal-graphic cameras enable our thermal imaging surveys to monitor and diagnose the current condition of buildings. This technology quickly identifies any problem areas that can’t be seen by the naked eye, which conveniently eliminates the need to resort to destructive probing methods. Our discoveries are captured and catalogued instantly into professional reports, providing you with accessible and tangible proof of your findings. As with any inspection, infrared inspections can’t predict the future conditions of the building. However, the issues that are detected through thermal imaging examinations have a high likelihood of developing into serious issues if left unaddressed.
Infrared Inspections from Allco Inspection Services will help you save time and money while providing you with important information that will help inform your future decisions. |
